Ref No: MO-25-RE-0605
PROJECT: Argentine Complex
SUBJECT: Deep Well Repairing Works
DATE: 06/05/2025
────────────────────────
- Project Overview
This report documents the successful completion of deep well rectification and rehabilitation works at Argentine Complex.
The works were initiated following operational malfunction and structural deterioration identified at the well head assembly. The intervention included both emergency corrective actions and permanent repair solutions to restore the system to full operational condition.
────────────────────────
- Scope of Work
The executed scope included the following activities:
• Immediate site inspection and condition assessment.
• Removal of damaged and corroded components.
• Emergency stabilization and temporary structural support installation.
• Reinstallation and alignment of the injection head.
• Functional testing to confirm temporary operational recovery.
• Complete dismantling of well head assembly for comprehensive repair.
• Surface preparation through sandblasting of structural elements.
• Hot-dip galvanizing treatment for corrosion protection.
• Fabrication and installation of permanent galvanized structural supports.
• Installation of all required fittings and mechanical accessories.
• Final system reassembly and operational testing.
────────────────────────
- Technical Execution Details
3.1 Emergency Intervention
Upon inspection, severe corrosion and mechanical misalignment were identified. Immediate measures were implemented to:
• Secure unstable components.
• Remove compromised structural parts.
• Re-align the injection head.
• Install temporary structural bracing to ensure safe interim operation.
A functional test was conducted to confirm system operability before proceeding to permanent repairs.
3.2 Permanent Repair Works
Following stabilization, the well head assembly was fully dismantled. Structural components underwent:
• Mechanical cleaning.
• Sandblasting to remove corrosion deposits.
• Hot-dip galvanizing for long-term corrosion resistance.
New permanent galvanized supports were fabricated and installed in accordance with mechanical alignment requirements.
All mechanical connections were reassembled and secured to ensure structural integrity and system stability.
────────────────────────
- Safety Compliance
All activities were executed in accordance with project safety regulations and electromechanical standards.
• Safe isolation procedures were implemented.
• Controlled lifting operations were conducted.
• Work permits were obtained prior to intervention.
• Proper PPE usage was enforced.
No incidents were recorded during execution.
────────────────────────
- Testing & Commissioning
Upon completion of installation works:
• Alignment verification was conducted.
• Structural stability was confirmed.
• Functional testing was performed.
• Flow and operational performance were validated.
The system was confirmed to be operating under normal working conditions.
────────────────────────
- Completion Status
The deep well has been successfully restored to full operational condition.
The implemented permanent structural upgrades ensure:
• Enhanced corrosion resistance
• Improved mechanical stability
• Extended service life
• Reliable operational performance
────────────────────────
- Conclusion
The deep well rectification works at Argentine Complex were completed in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
The system is now fully functional and ready for continuous operation.
